Bigwave Marketing & Halo Leisure reach European Search Awards finals
08 Jun 2022
Bigwave Marketing and leisure trust, Halo Leisure, were awarded finalist positions for the European Search Awards 2022.
The creative growth agency created a successful campaign for Halo Leisure, that resulted in the highest number of users and membership sales in Halo’s history. The campaign secured both businesses a finalist place in the European Search Awards in the ‘Best local campaign (PPC) large’ category.
The European Search Awards rewards and celebrates the very best companies and people working in PPC, SEO, and Content Marketing across a variety of business sectors. The competition is tough, attracting entries from across all 44 European countries.
The finalist campaign ran in May 2021, post lockdown, to help Halo Leisure recruit new members and recover from the loss of the pandemic. The campaign was a huge success, generating over £300k in income, with 2,582 memberships sold (an astonishing 55 per cent higher than in May 2019).
Cathy Fletcher, Marketing Manager at Halo Leisure said: “We were blown away by the PPC campaign that Bigwave Marketing ran for us. It was instrumental in our Covid comeback campaign and the recruitment of new members and the recovery of lapsed ones. The campaign certainly supported the initial recovery of our business after a year of full or partial closures.
“We had the highest number of membership sales in the history of the company! In May 2021 we generated 1232 more memberships than May 2019 (pre-covid) and equalled over £332K in membership income. The return on ad spend was an astounding £33 for every £1 spent on paid activities on Google and Facebook and Instagram advertising.
“We’ve been a client of Bigwave Marketing for over 12 years and are always happy with the results delivered. I highly recommend Bigwave to anyone.”
The nomination marks the second time Bigwave Marketing have reached the finals of the European Search Awards in the past three years, having reached the finals in 2020 for their Google Non-Profit campaign for wildlife conservation trust, Wild Planet Trust.
Operations & Digital Director, Simon Beer, said: “We are immensely proud to have achieved a second finalist place in the prestigious European Awards. It is a credit to our team of 35+ staff, who keep up to date with the latest trends, training and creative thinking to deliver for our clients with passion and results.
“We’ve always enjoy a fantastic partnership with Halo Leisure, working closely with their team across their marketing, so to achieve such record-breaking results that supported their bounce back was extremely important to us.”
A case study about the nominated campaign for Halo Leisure has been published on the Bigwave website
