Healthy lifestyle pop-up clinic launches at Clements Hall Leisure Centre
05 May 2022
A healthy lifestyle pop-up clinic has launched at Clements Hall Leisure Centre, managed by Fusion Lifestyle on behalf of Rochford District Council.
The clinic, open now, has been organised by the Rochford District Primary Care Network, will be at the leisure centre every other Friday between 9am and 5pm. The clinic will be run by Primary Care Network paramedics who will be doing basic health checks and providing advice for managing long-term conditions. The paramedics are joined by a Wellbeing Link Coordinator to offer support for non-medical issues. Lucy Gill, head of PCN Development in Rochford, said: “Our healthy lifestyle pop-up clinic is a great way to reach the community and provide accessible healthcare support and advice. The first clinic at Clements Hall Leisure Centre went really well and our team is looking forward to meeting more of the community over the coming weeks and months.” Joe Stone, Rochford District PCN paramedic, added: “These clinics are a chance for people to get basic checks such as blood pressure, height and weight without going to their GP practice. It means we can be more proactive in identifying patients who might be at risk of developing a more serious condition, and work with them to ensure they get the right support.” Matt Harwood-White, Assistant Director – Assets and Commercial at Rochford District Council added: “The pop-up clinics are a great example of partnership working and we are excited to work closely with the Rochford District PCN and Fusion Lifestyle moving forward on new and innovative projects for the benefit of the local community”.
