Community Leisure UK & Bigwave Marketing Help UK Communities Build a Happy & Healthy Lifestyle
01 Dec 2021
Community Leisure UK and Bigwave Marketing recently collaborated to build a new campaign that seeks to champion the Trust sector and raise awareness for leisure and culture facilities. It is a nationwide effort that will help communities build and maintain a happy and healthy lifestyle.
Designed and powered by renowned marketing specialists at Bigwave Marketing, the campaign "Building Your Happier, Healthier Lifestyle" showcases the array of services available in the community from local charitable trusts and leisure and culture facilities.
The campaign is developed out of ongoing research and feedback acquired by Community Leisure UK's member trusts across the UK. It is a nationwide effort that aims to encourage the public to return to trust-run facilities, following a challenging 18 months as a result of Covid-19, and promote the benefits of using these facilities for physical and mental wellbeing in a safe environment.
Kirsty Cumming, Chief Executive at Community Leisure UK, said "Following a challenging 18 months for public leisure and culture, our members are keen to offer a safe space for local communities to return to safely using Trusts facilities and services. This campaign, designed by Bigwave Marketing, captures the key elements of health and happiness that are at the forefront of our members’ work, and offers a clear message to share with their customers."
The "Building Your Happier, Healthier Lifestyle" campaign will launch this Christmas/New Year and is available to utilise throughout 2022 – a key period for the Trust sector. The campaign is accessible to all trusts in the UK and will include free listings and full campaign management and support. It is currently available to order and ready to use when required.
Charities and trusts in leisure and culture are essential providers for ensuring communities live a happier and healthier lifestyle. This campaign will enable trusts to deliver a strong and motivating message that will, in turn, attract new members, engage existing members, and boost brand awareness.
Tom Gonza, Bigwave Marketing's Strategic and Partnerships Director, said "Bigwave are proud to have developed a third national campaign for the Community Leisure UK network. Despite the ongoing impact of Covid-19, we are all acutely aware of how important it is to live a healthy lifestyle. This campaign has been created to showcase the difference the facilities all across the UK to help their communities build a happier, healthier lifestyle."
The Community Active website provides a directory of trusts based in the UK. Free listings are available to all leisure and cultural trusts that are not currently registered. The directory is essentially a consumer-facing tool for the sector made simple for the public to locate trusts and charities in their area, with activities for them and their families to enjoy in a safe environment. The goal of this tool, and the campaign as a whole, is to put the trust back in Trusts and charities in the UK and make them known.
Several campaign packs are available that are designed to work around existing operations whilst building a national campaign that supports the entire Trust sector. Trusts will benefit from a national campaign profile, have access to valuable advice and support from experienced marketing specialists, build confidence in the community, and educate and promote the Trust model in their communities. All campaign materials are also available in the Welsh language.
Together, we can make a difference.
