New community partnership to expand youth and wellbeing support in Newmarket

Abbeycroft has entered a new partnership with the Newmarket Charitable Foundation and has now taken on the operation and day-to-day running of The Hub Newmarket, based at The Severals Pavilion.
The collaboration strengthens both organisations shared commitment to providing inclusive, accessible facilities and activities that help local people live more active, healthier lives.
The Hub will continue to serve as a welcoming community space for young people and residents of all ages, with Abbeycroft bringing its experience in wellbeing programmes, youth engagement, and community outreach. The partnership focuses on expanding opportunities for physical activity, nurturing personal development, and supporting positive social connections across Newmarket.

By working closely with the Newmarket Charitable Foundation, we can expand The Hub’s reach, offering safe, active, and positive experiences for young people and residents across the town. The Hub provides both open-access and targeted support. Regular weekly sessions include drop-in opportunities and structured group activities, particularly for younger attendees aged 7–12. Older young people, up to age 25, can also access mentoring and one-to-one support through appointments or drop-ins.
By combining informal education, recreation, wellbeing support, and social engagement, The Hub aims to promote resilience, aspiration, and a strong sense of belonging within the community.
Abbeycroft will begin enhancing activity programmes and community initiatives at The Hub during 2026, with a focus on strengthening youth provision, supporting wellbeing, and ensuring the space remains a trusted, vibrant resource for the whole community.
