How long have you worked at Actif?

I started working within the Actif team when I was 18 years old as a Dragons Sports Mentor. I am now 23 and work with the team as a full-time Participate officer, covering schools and the community for the West of Carmarthenshire.

Why did you want to get into the industry?

When working as a Dragon Sports Mentor my passions for sport development grew and wanted to gain experiences to be able to make a difference within schools and community, now I couldn’t see myself working within any other industry.

How has Actif helped you?

Working for Actif has opened the doors to many different opportunities. I have been able to develop my individual skills through a variety of training opportunities and this has allowed me to gain more confidence and become a better version of myself.

What careers advice would you give to someone wanting o break into the industry?

I would highly recommend working within this industry as the environment has allowed me to grow as an individual, continue to develop through learning opportunities and meet new people with the same interests. My advice to anyone looking to pursue a career within this industry would be to, always work hard and push yourself to be the best.
