GLL are recruiting for Fitness Manager to work in our Better facilities across Belfast, Northern Ireland. If you have the talent and ambition to be a Fitness Manager, there has never been a more exciting time to progress with GLL in Belfast. This is more than a Fitness Manager role - its a career.

As part of our opening team, these roles offer a unique opportunity to manage the business from its early stages as part of a UK-wide organisation that supports and promotes leisure and sport to all ages and abilities - from children's swimming lessons to health intervention programmes and even sponsorship of future Olympic medal winners. Reporting to the General Manager, you'll be responsible for delivering and developing a high-quality service and a successful business model. You'll work closely with the General Manager and have all the support of our regional team of experts to assist in the setting up of a successful pre-sale and mobilisation of this new facility.

In addition to a proven track record in managing a busy leisure centre, you'll have the necessary operational qualifications such as Fitness Instructor level 2, Group Exercise/Fitness Class Instructor and ideally a Level 3-4 leisure-related qualification. You'll have a demonstrable track record in providing a range of fitness services which challenge and excite members in a safe working environment. You will also need experience of delivering a range of exercise programmes and excellent customer service that retains and attracts new members. It goes without saying that you'll be a strong people manager and have the business acumen necessary to plan and improve the products and services for our community to ensure Better Gym Church Lane becomes a success.

Leisure Transformation will see first class centres being built which are state of the art and offer access for all. This will include some unique and new products to our portfolio which will change the face of leisure in the city. Investment will also continue in existing centres so that we can deliver excellent customer service and provide a warm welcome to local communities and visitors from far and wide.
