Job description:
GLL, the UK's largest leisure provider and one of the first and largest leisure social enterprises, is looking for Gymnastics Coaches based at Fairwater Leisure Centre in Cardiff, Wales for our lessons and courses for children and adults. Gymnastics is a key area of focus and investment for us. So far this year, we've invested £100k into our gymnastics facilities and equipment and there is much more investment to come. We're a key player in 2012 Olympic legacy and in turn, our gymnastics courses are more popular than ever. With over 30 training facilities, including three impressive, sought-after purpose built gymnastics training units, we teach gymnastics to over 5,000 children and trampoline to over 1,500. Although we're proud that our courses are so popular and have waiting lists for people to join, our aim is to get as many people off of those waiting lists and into lessons - and that's where you come in.

The fact that you're passionate about gymnastics is an understatement. You'll live and breathe gymnastics and want to share that passion with your pupils and colleagues alike. A good all-rounder, you'll also specialise in any of a number of disciplines that we teach such as men's and women's artistic, rhythmic, trampoline and acrobatic. You'll be able to teach all groups from young children to adults and all abilities from those who enjoy gymnastics as a hobby to our elite pupils and medal winners.

You'll thrive on seeing others develop and as your courses and lessons will be your own to lead and plan, you'll influence their success and growth. Ensuring the lessons are enjoyable, you'll be able to think on your feet and be creative with the facilities around you, still making sure that your pupils are constantly observed and kept safe. Due to our size and scale, there will be plenty of hours available for you to coach and the bigger our courses get, the more opportunity there will be to further develop your career with us. We invest in our people as well as our facilities and we aim to upskill and progress people throughout their time with us.

In return, we offer a range of benefits that you'd expect from the UK's largest leisure provider:
- Pension schemes
- Discounted membership at our leisure centres
- Career pathways
- Ongoing training and development to help you to be the best

If you have the passion and skills for this role, apply now.

Closing date: 31st December 2019

All pay rates are subject to skills, experience, qualifications and location.

GLL is looking for two casual Health Referral Facilitators to work at Bude Leisure Centre in Bude, Cornwall.

If you have a genuine passion for supporting people, join us as an Exercise Referral Instructor and help to improve people's level of fitness, health - and ultimately, quality of life. GLL is a charitable social enterprise and the UK's largest leisure provider, partnering with local authorities to run leisure centres, swimming pools and world-class sporting venues. As a not-for-profit organisation, we're different. Reinvesting back into our facilities, communities and people, we're growing - and committed to developing the skills of our 'Healthwise' Exercise Referral Instructors too, through accredited and on-the-job training.

Healthwise is our GP Referral Scheme, designed to support a wide range of people. NHS patients can be referred for many reasons - from diabetes and heart disease to depression, dementia or post-operative recovery. Rehabilitation or weight loss are just the start. As an Exercise Referral Instructor, you'll help us to educate people in changing their entire lifestyle.

It all begins with an assessment. People can be nervous, so you'll need a patient, calm approach that puts them at ease in the gym environment. After identifying their needs, you'll then demonstrate the equipment and design a bespoke programme, from simple exercises to group classes. Naturally, you'll chart their progress too - taking measurements, discussing how they're getting on and showing just how far they've come. Rather than short term results, your focus will be on helping people to gain the tools and confidence they need to take responsibility for their own body and health.

Ideally, we're looking for an experienced Exercise Referrer, but the role would suit Personal Trainers too - people inspired by the chance to make a difference (and enjoy a regular wage, too). If you're a fitness professional or someone with an academic background in a sporting discipline and relevant vocational experience who's confident, sensitive and able to inspire a wide range of people - often with low fitness and confidence levels - this is for you. That means you'll need to be REPS registered with an NVQ Level 3 Fitness Instructor and experience of delivering lifestyle interventions too.

Few fitness careers are as rewarding as this. So if you're motivated to progress your career with an organisation that improves lives, join us and enjoy great benefits including opportunities to work across various locations, flexible hours, a uniform and discounted membership at all our leisure centres.

If you have the passion and skills for this role, then apply now.

The welfare and safety of the children in our care is of the utmost importance to us at GLL. We follow safer recruitment procedures to ensure that our staff are checked and appropriate to work with children and young people. Therefore we'll require you to complete an enhance DBS check before you will be allowed to start work.

All pay rates are subject to skills, experience, qualifications and location.

Job description:
GLL is looking for Recreation Assistants to work at Energise Leisure Centre in York, North Yorkshire. If you have the talent and ambition to join us as a Lifeguard, there's never been a more exciting time to progress with a sector leader. This is more than a Lifeguard job - it's a career. Professional development is just the start. To ensure you stay at the top of your game, we provide training with practical and theory elements too.

Pool safety can't be underestimated - and neither can the responsibility that comes with this vital lifeguarding role. Our scale means we can also offer scope to progress, and variety like nowhere else - from regular pool rotations, supervising and cleaning the pool area, to setting up equipment and delivering a first-class customer service when dealing with queries. Do your job well, and there shouldn't ever be an emergency. But if the unexpected should happen, you'll be equipped with the skills to potentially save a life.

If you're calm under pressure, highly responsible and a natural with people from all walks of life, this is your chance to develop as a Lifeguard. We look for integrity, a can-do attitude and a real focus on customer service. Passion and personality will also stand you in good stead, combined with knowledge of health and safety legislation and a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification. A great team player, you'll make sure our customers have the best possible experience - in terms of enjoyment, safety and hygiene.

In return, we offer a range of benefits that you'd expect from the UK's largest leisure provider:
- Pension schemes
- Discounted membership at our leisure centres
- Career pathways
- Ongoing training and development to help you to be the best

If you have the passion and skills for this role, apply now.
