Job description:
GLL is looking for a Duty Manager based at Hough End Leisure Centre in Chorlton, Manchester. If you have the talent and ambition to be a Duty Manager, there's never been a more exciting time to progress with GLL. This is more than a Duty Manager role - it's a career. Ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of a leisure centre, you'll ensure the health, safety and enjoyment of customers and colleagues alike.

We're looking for experienced Duty Managers or ambitious and talented Senior Recreation Assistants who are passionate about the leisure industry. So, if you're looking for a desk job, this isn't for you - as there's no such thing as a typical day as Duty Manager. That's what makes the role so special. Here, you could be doing anything from unlocking the leisure centre and setting up, to ordering supplies and checking everything is perfect for your customers. Then, once the day is in full swing, you'll ensure it's all running as it should be - handling customer queries, managing your team and ensuring the successful operation of the gym, pool and other facilities. Your own development is just as important, as we'll train you to sharpen your skills in this diverse Duty Manager role.

If you're a fast-thinker who's calm under pressure, responsible and a natural with people from all walks of life, this is your chance to progress as a Duty Manager. We also look for integrity, a can-do attitude, health and safety knowledge, and a customer service focus, combined with relevant professional qualifications such as NPLQ, PPO (desirable), Pool Management Qualification, FAAW. From introducing a table tennis club and supporting disabled groups, to organising charity swimathons with celebrity guests, we've introduced all sorts of initiatives. So, if you've an idea and the drive to improve things even further, we'll listen.

In return, we offer a range of benefits that you'd expect from the UK's largest leisure provider:
- Pension schemes
- Ride to work scheme
- Discounted membership at our leisure centres
- The opportunity to join the GLL Society and have a say in how we're run plus associated social events
- Career pathways
- Ongoing training and development to help you to be the best

If you have the passion and skills for this role, then apply now

All pay rates are subject to skills, experience, qualifications and location.

To be shortlisted for the role, internal applicants will need to demonstrate their commitment to GLL by becoming a Society member where eligible.

GLL is looking for a General Manager based at Chingford Leisure Centre in Chingford, East London.

Building on our continued growth, we're now the UK's largest leisure provider - and set for even greater success. So, if you have experience of managing busy wet and dry leisure centres, join us as a General Manager and play a key role in the next step of our journey. Bringing ambition to match ours, this is your chance to lead a large facility and develop a talented team at the heart of a leisure sector leader.

Our aim is to make an active and healthy lifestyle accessible to all. As General Manager, you'll have a big part to play in that, as you focus on shaping a clear strategic framework to deliver our operational and financial targets - all whilst forging even stronger links with our business and community partners. It's a role that offers huge variety. So, as well as enjoying a hands-on management role, some of your time will be desk-based, as you ensure compliance and support the administration involved in running a busy leisure centre.

Naturally, we have safety procedures in place - but ultimately, you're given the freedom, support and training to run your centre as your own and drive innovation as you see fit. As General Manager, you'll thrive on the autonomy to manage your own time too, all with the support of a wider head office function including HR, finance, marketing and IT teams.

Continuing your strong track record of achieving big business objectives, product growth and excellent customer service, you'll be a real people-person with a leisure degree or equivalent experience, and deep knowledge of leisure centre operations hold NPLQ, PPO (desirable), Pool Management Qualification, FAAW qualifications. Expertly handling a budget, your current knowledge of the leisure, fitness and lifestyle worlds will be just as key - as will the gravitas needed to develop relationships with our senior management teams.

Job description:
GLL, the UK's largest public leisure and cultural services provider is looking for a customer-focused Concierge at Lisnasharragh Leisure Centre in Belfast, Northern Ireland. As a social enterprise, people and community are at the heart of everything we do and we want everyone who walks through our doors to have the same great experience to keep them coming back. We make communities better and getting people active and healthy is just one of the ways we do that.

As a Concierge, you'll be the first person our customers see so you'll know you only get that one chance to make a great impression. People who use Better leisure centres come from all walks of life, are of all ages and all abilities, so the skill of making everyone feel welcome and confident will be what you pride yourself on. Working as a Concierge, you'll greet people and ensure they're getting the best out of our leisure facilities on the best membership / price point available to them. You'll need to know our service offerings inside out; be it membership types, classes and lessons and even the most delicious food to order from our Better Coffee Corners. In essence, you'll be a one-stop-shop for our customers, giving them all the information they need - and some they don't know they need - to help them make the most of our UK-wide facilities and their time with us.

It goes without saying that you'll be great with people and although you don't need to come from a leisure background (we'll train you in that), if you have cash-handling experience, know how to give great advice and close sales, you could find yourself at the start of a long-term career with us; the possibilities really are endless for those who are eager to learn all about our business and culture. Your can-do attitude and commitment to making a difference to customers will not only positively affect the communities that we work with - but you'll also be a great role model for your colleagues.

You'll be joining us at a pivotal time as we embark on the largest public leisure investment anywhere in the UK over the coming year. Working closely in partnership with Belfast City Council, you'll be part of a £105 million investment package that will rival any European city's leisure offer, making this a truly exciting time to join as we change the face of leisure in the city.

So what's in it for you?
- Pension schemes
- Discounted membership at our leisure centres for you and a friend
- Ride to work scheme
- Discounts on days out, events and shopping
- Free uniform
- Career pathways
- Ongoing training and development to help you to be the best
