Centre Manager
Towcester Leisure Centre - Salary £26,000

This is an outstanding career opportunity with a not for profit charitable organisation committed to providing a diverse and meaningful range of leisure and culture related activities for the local communities in which we serve.

Towcester Leisure Centre seeks a competent Manager to oversee all aspects of operational and strategic management. Towcester Leisure Centre is one of two leisure facilities in the South Northamptonshire Contract and consists of a 25m Swimming Pool, Leisure Pool with wave machine , Flume , 80+ station Health & Fitness Centre, 4 Court Sports Hall, Activity Hall, Cycling Studio, All Weather pitches, Crèche & Café facilities.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Area Manager, the successful candidate will take overall responsibility for the effective management and operation of the Centre, ensuring that high standards of customer service are set and maintained and financial performance targets are exceeded.
This position will allow you to develop your skills and reputation whilst enhancing safe and enjoyable usage of the facilities.
You will be given freedom to manage and develop your staff efficiently to meet customer and operational requirements. In return you will be expected to create a dynamic, innovative and responsive team through your communication and management styles.
Candidates must have a strong understanding of financial procedures and must be able to manage the Centre budgets whilst developing and improving operational procedures in line with QUEST.

The Person
To effectively manage this big and busy leisure facility, you will need to be able to multi-task and balance the demands of your staff team as well as meeting the expectations of the client and customers.
You will be an experienced and confident leader who can motivate your team.
It is essential that you possess excellent communication, and stakeholder liaison skills whilst being both forthcoming and diplomatic at the same time.
Ideally you will have a recognised qualification in Leisure Management or educated to degree level or NVQ3.
You will have extensive knowledge of the leisure industry, and preferably NPLQ, First Aid and PPO qualifications.

Part time: 15 hours per week

The Opportunity
We are seeking to appoint an Administration Officer to join the team at Cowbridge Leisure Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day running of the centre’s administration, data collection and reporting, payroll, financial procedures, and processing all site bookings.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who is able to work with a high degree of accuracy whilst meeting tight deadlines. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will be required to work 15 hours a week on a set rota, with the expectation to assist the front of house team where required.

The Person
The successful candidate must have previous administration experience, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, be flexible in their approach to work, and be able to multitask in a fast paced environment.

The candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent planning and time management skills, have great attention to detail and must be I.T literate.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to embark on a leisure career within the Vale of Glamorgan Leisure Centres. Our 3 swimming Pools are located in Penarth, Barry and Llantwit Major. With 25m pools and learner pools, beached areas 6 lanes & 4 lane pools.

We are looking for a Swimming Instructor to promote our Learn to Swim programme, deliver engaging swimming lessons to all ages and abilities and provide exceptional customer service standards. Our swimming schemes are based on the Swim Wales Learn to Swim Framework and it is essential to hold an ASA Level 2 teaching qualification or equivalent. You will need to be flexible, reliable and able to work various hours. We seek an enthusiastic and motivated individual who can succeed with maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for our customers and colleagues.​

You will report directly to the Aquatics Manager and this position is subject to DBS check.

Qualifications required:
Level 1 and 2 ASA Swimming Teachers
National Pool Lifeguard Qualification or NATIONAL RESCUE AWARD FOR SWIMMING TEACHERS AND COACHES (NRASTC)

Located in the heart of Exeter, Pyramids Leisure Centre is a fantastic facility offering a 6 lane 25m swimming pool, separate teaching pool, 40 station gym and G.P. referral and sports massage therapy rooms.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Centre Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day operation and management of the centre including health and safety, customer care, financial control, as well as leading and managing staff.

You will be required to work 40 hours a week (to include evenings & weekends) and you must have a customer-focused approach.

The Person
The successful candidate should have a good knowledge of the leisure industry, excellent communication skills, flexibility and a commitment to customer service.

The successful candidate will be dynamic, be able to demonstrate problem solving attributes and be able to think on their feet. You will be able to manage a team and ensure the sound operation and safety of your team and customers during your duty shift. You will be delegated specific areas of responsibility for which you will be accountable.

You will ideally hold a current NPLQ, PPO and First aid at work qualification however training can be provided if required.

The Opportunity
West Park and Victoria Park Leisure Centres are looking for enthusiastic, hardworking, dynamic swimming instructors to cover our permanent staff whilst on annual leave.

You will support the delivery of the Aquazone swimming lesson programme at each site.

Hours available on a number of weekdays and weekends to meet the needs of the service, so you will need to be flexible and reliable
