This is an exciting career opportunity for someone looking to start their career at a high performing Leisure Centre with a 25 metre, 6 lane swimming pool, teaching pool, studio and gym.

The Opportunity
We are offering successful candidates the opportunity to join our bespoke training programme, delivered in partnership with Lifetime Training, to complete an accredited Leisure Duty Manager L3 Standard which will develop and nurture the skills, knowledge and behaviours required for Junior Management leadership roles. We have on-going commitment to career pathway development and supporting our employees to perform at the highest level within their job roles delivering an excellent customer experience.

Reporting to the Centre Manager, the successful candidate will be passionate about delivering first class customer service. Day to day you will support the site Duty Management team with running the centre focusing particularly on Health and Safety, Customer Care, and Financial Management.

The role does include working on a rota covering all shifts - days, evenings and weekends.

The Person
A leisure related qualification is not essential for this role. This is a developmental role and we will provide a comprehensive training program covering all aspects of the role. All we ask for is your enthusiasm and commitment to learning.. We are looking for someone who is flexible and committed, with a great 'can do' attitude, the ability to work well within a small team and to offer great customer service to our local community.

The Person
An NPLQ or First Aid at Work certificate are essential and a Pool Plant Operators qualification is desirable as well as a recognised Leisure Management qualification.

The successful candidate should have a minimum of 5 years knowledge of the leisure industry and a good level of experience of working in a very busy wet/dry facility. Excellent communication skills, flexibility and a total commitment to customer service are essential. Successful applicants will be provided with full training in all aspects of this role.

We are looking to recruit a Fitness Instructor for Pyramids Leisure Centre. Located in the heart of Exeter, Pyramids Leisure Centre boasts great facilities including a 40 station Gym, 25m heated indoor swimming pool, Learner pool and meeting rooms.

We are looking for an individual with a positive attitude and plenty of enthusiasm to play an active role on the Gym floor. To be successful in this role you will need an engaging and honest personality with a natural ability to build strong relationships, puts people at ease as well as a "can-do" attitude, and be willing to work variable hours, including some evenings and weekends. It is essential that you hold a Level 2 Fitness Instructor or Level 3 Personal Trainer certificate. It will be desirable if you hold Level 3 Exercise Referral qualification so that you can help deliver our Steps to Health Exercise Referral programme. Some of the responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):
Establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with our customers and potential customers
Supervising activities in the Gym and operating the equipment in a manner consistent with safe working practice
Undertaking all day-to-day cleaning and maintenance of the equipment and fittings

The Role

Northcroft Leisure Centre - Newbury

This is an outstanding career opportunity with a not for profit charitable organisation committed to providing a diverse and meaningful range of leisure and culture related activities for the local communities in which we serve.

Northcroft Leisure Centre is a wet/ dry facility with a 64 station gym, 2 indoor and 2 outdoor swimming pools, 2 group exercise studios, café and soft play. Centrally located it’s a fantastic opportunity for a manager who wants to succeed.

Reporting to the Centre Manager, the successful candidate will be required to take overall responsibility for the effective management and operation of the Aquazone Swimming Lesson Coordination, increasing profitability and consistently enhancing both the financial performance and usage of the Leisure Centre.

The Person

The successful candidate should have previous knowledge of the leisure industry and experience of working in a wet / dry facility. Excellent communication skills, flexibility and being able to work well in a team are essential.

The successful candidate will be dynamic, show high levels of initiative and have exceptional customer care. They will also be able to ensure the highest levels of safety in the day-to-day running of the facility. Energy and enthusiasm is a must for this role as you will be promoting our philosophy of Quality, Care and Excellence in the service you provide.

A National Pool Lifeguarding Qualification is desirable but successful applicants will be provided with full training in all aspects of the role. The position is subject to a DBS check.

The Opportunity
To develop the Swimming Programme in line with the Companies National Swimming Strategy
Work in a busy environment developing the in-house swimming programme to meet the financial and user targets
To be able to drive sales and the marketing of the Learn to Swim Programme
Where necessary support the delivery of swimming lessons
Interact with parents to ensure that the use of our swimming lesson CRM (Course Pro) system and any queries are being dealt with efficiently and effectively

The Person
Level 2 Swimming Instructor
Experience in coordinating swimming lessons within a busy leisure environment
Familiar with the operation of an electronic course management system
Flexible approach to working hours
Experience of managing staff and a team
Excellent customer service skills
