Are you a Gymnastics coach who can run fun and engaging sessions for all ages and ability levels?

Jump Leicester covers our Gymnastics and Trampolining programmes across multiple leisure centres within Leicester. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified coach to help grow and develop our recreational Gymnastics programme.

Join us as a Gymnastics Coach and you’ll become a valued member of our highly qualified, passionate, and dynamic team.

This is a part-time permanent post, working 7 hours per week which includes evenings and weekends. There are set days each week, however this may change to best suit our programme and centre. Total benefit value (including pension contribution and full holiday entitlement is £7,156


Your role

As a Head Gymnastics Coach, you’ll work closely with other coaches and our Sport and Physical Activity Programme Officer to plan and deliver recreational gymnastics sessions.

You’ll oversee any lower level coaches or volunteers within your session to ensure best practice is maintained.

You'll be responsible for the safe set up of equipment and will confidently carry out regular safety checks.

As Jump Leicester is an official British Gymnastics Leisure Centre Partner, you’ll incorporate the new RISE Gymnastics programme and awards into your sessions and will be able to regularly assess members against set criteria.

Being an important part of the Jump Leicester team, your feedback and advice will always be appreciated. During team meetings you’ll report on your sessions progress and assist with the ongoing review of the programme.


What you'll need
You must hold a UKCC Level 2 Women’s Artistic or General Gymnastics qualification.

With previous coaching experience, you’ll have a good understanding of the sport and be able to adapt sessions to best suit each member.

Using your knowledge and expertise of the sport, you’ll mentor and assist lower level coaches and volunteers within your sessions.

You’ll demonstrate excellent organisational and planning skills within a recreational sporting environment.

Using excellent communication skills, you’ll deliver high levels of customer service and be able to appropriately deal with irate or distressed customers.

You’ll be able to motivate and encourage members of all ages to ensure everyone feels confident within your sessions.

Would you like to become part of our growing Active Leicester team? Are you a Group Exercise Instructor who can deliver motivating and engaging sessions for all ages and ability levels?

Active Leicester run group exercise class across leisure centres in the city. This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified group exercise instructor who wants to help grow and develop our programme. Join us as a Group Exercise Instructor and you’ll become a valued member of our highly motivated, passionate, and dynamic team.

You’ll be based at one of the leisure centres but have the flexibility to work across the various sites. This is a part-time contract up to 10 hours per week on a fixed term basis for 12 months.  Hours of work may include morning, daytime, evenings, and weekends. There are set days each week, however this may change to best suit our programme and centres.

The salary rate for this position is £17.18 per hour.

Your role

As a Group Exercise Instructor, you’ll work closely with the leisure centre teams to deliver group exercise classes to Active Leicester members, ensuring you create a safe and welcoming environment for physical activity. You’ll prepare activity space, set up and dismantle necessary equipment before and after sessions.  You’ll develop and supervise a programme of exercise, assess the fitness levels of participants, and provide expert advice to users of the service. You’ll play a key role in expanding the health and fitness offering at Active Leicester and help deliver our vision.

What you'll need

With an appropriate level 2 award in Group Exercise e.g. Exercise to Music, Group Cycling, Bootcamp etc, you’ll have previous instructing experience. You’ll have a good understanding of devising and delivering engaging group exercise classes for participants of varying abilities and from a variety backgrounds and cultures. Alongside a passion for physical activity you’ll demonstrate a knowledge of the barriers to participation and how these can be overcome to increase participant engagement. Using excellent communication skills, you’ll deliver high levels of customer service and be able to appropriately deal with irate or distressed customers. You’ll be able to motivate and encourage members of all ages to ensure everyone feels confident within your sessions.

Would you like to become part of our growing Active Leicester team? Are you a qualified Swim Teacher who can deliver motivating and engaging lessons for all ages and ability levels?

Active Leicester run swim lessons across all of our leisure centres in the city. This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Swim Teacher to help grow and develop our programme and provide a positive and enjoyable learning experience for all participants. Join us as a Swim Teacher and you’ll become a valued member of our highly motivated, passionate, and dynamic team play a key role in expanding the offering at Active Leicester and help deliver our vision.

As a Level 1 Swim Teacher, you’ll teach group sessions under the supervision of a higher-level swim teacher. We’ll provide you with relevant training and support to progress to Level 2. As a Level 2 Teacher, you’ll mentor, advise, and supervise lower level swim teachers. Appointment to either Level 1 or 2 will depend on the outcome of the selection process and experience/qualification of the successful candidates.

You’ll be based at one of the leisure centres but have the flexibility to work across the various sites. We have various part-time, permanent posts. Hours of work may include daytime, evenings, and weekends. There are set days each week, however this may change to best suit our programme and centres.

The full-time salary for this post is £19,312 - £19,698 per annum for Level 1 and £22,183 - £24,491 per annum for Level 2. However, the salary will be pro-rata for part-time hours.

Your role

As a Swim Teacher, you’ll work closely with the leisure centre teams to deliver swimming lessons to Active Leicester customers, ensuring you create a safe and welcoming environment for physical activity. You’ll develop and supervise a programme of instruction sessions, assess the level of prospective members, and maintain accurate records of progress and attainment of participants on the portal. Using your expertise, you’ll provide feedback and information to service users.

What you'll need

You’ll have an appropriate Swimming Teaching ASA Level 1 or 2 qualification. Join us as a Trampolining Coach and you’ll become a valued member of our highly qualified, passionate, and dynamic team who deliver sessions from our 'Trampolining Hub' at Aylestone Leisure Centre.


 This is a part-time permanent post, working 12 hours per week which includes evenings and weekends. There are set days each week, however this may change to best suit our programme and centre. Total benefit value including pension contribution and full holiday entitlement is £12,268
