We are looking for a Maintenance Manager who will be responsible for managing the day to day operational requirements, ensuring that the Contract is operating in-line with both the Parkwood’s Financial, Health & Safety and Environmental procedures as well as managing the contractual requirements of the Service Specification.

The Opportunity -
• Managing the School’s Helpdesk system through being proactive in monitoring the service and reacting to the required standards. Liaising with all the clients and subcontractors respectively, overseeing the day to day maintenance services and managing the Parkwood Premises team.
• Ensure all the school contracted buildings are complying fully with all responsibilities as defined in the Contract
• Monitor building compliance of the Contract at each school on a daily basis and address any anomalies immediately
• Proactively monitor the Help Desk to ensure compliance with the Contract and address any anomalies immediately to prevent financial deductions
• To play a key role as the leader of the Premises Team in maintaining the buildings presentation, operation and equipment
• Develop, maintain and evolve good relations with existing Clients and stakeholders
• Take responsibility for health and safety and actively participate in the maintenance and improvement of the overall contracts Health and Safety culture
• Provide direct support to the General Manager and Operations Manager in ensuring contractual responsibilities are adhered to
• Manage, develop and coordinate staff resources effectively to meet the requirements of the role
• To take responsibility for all contractors on site carrying out any repair/maintenance work

The Person -
• Ideally qualifications in the Building trade or Facilities Management equivalent.
• A proven track record in maintaining facilities. The post holder will ideally have achieved a presence within the industry that ensures personal credibility.
• Good written and oral communication skills
