About the role

We're looking for someone who is proactive and passionate about supporting children and young people to fulfil their potential. As Youth & Community Manager, within Mytime Active's Partnerships Team you will be responsible for managing and developing our award winning programmes - ArtsTrain and MyFuture.

You will have great people management skills and be responsible for managing a team of Programme Coordinators, Music Leaders and Community Sports Coaches. In addition the role demands a proven ability to develop new partnerships, build relationships and influence others.

You will be responsible for securing grant funding to organise and deliver new and innovative projects and events working with with a range of colleagues and partners. You will need a track record of fundraising, liaising and reporting to funders, as well as experience of planning, monitoring and evaluating projects, programmes or events.

This exciting role demands the use of highly effective communication with a range of colleagues and partners including sports, music, youth and community organisations. An ability to work as part of a team as well as use your own initiative are essential.

You must be able to attend meetings across South London and work some evenings and weekends.

Job Type: Various - Permanent and fixed-term contract: full time (40 hours per week, including early morning, evening and weekend shifts)

About the role
Mytime Active Leisure Centres have something for everyone, from swimming pools, gyms and exercise studios to soft play zones, ten pin bowling and community halls.

This is an opportunity to be involved in supervising all key operational areas, managing staff resources, and activities.

Previous experience as a supervisor and /or, managing a team in a busy operational environment is essential. Knowledge of the Leisure industry is desirable.

You will work closely with the Assistant General Manager and Heads of Department to ensure the efficient day to day operation and delivery of activities at the centre.

Essential requirements:
* National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and First Aid qualification. With supervisory experience of staff.

Desirable:
* Pool Plant Operator's qualifications (training will be available should you be prepared to achieve these as a condition of appointment).
* First line management qualification (Institute of Leadership & management ILM); NVQ in Customer Service.

About The Role:
We are looking for Recreation Assistants to become our everyday champions, providing supervision to our swimming pools and creating a safe and fun environment to the communities we serve. Our Recreation Assistants keep busy ensuring everything is in its place. You cannot underestimate the importance of pool safety and neither the responsibility that come with this vital role. Your role will be varied with regular pool rotations, thoroughly cleaning the pool and other assigned areas, to setting up equipment and delivering excellent customer service. In this role you will be equipped with the skills to potentially save a life. If you are calm under pressure, highly responsible and is a natural with people from all walks of life, this could be your opportunity to develop your career in such a vital role within our leisure facilities. We look for people with passion, personality, integrity and real can-do attitude who understand the importance of delivering excellent customer service. The ability to be able to swim 2 lengths in under 90 seconds and pass a swim test is important to take to you through to the next stage. A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification would be great, but we can provide that training for you.
