This is an outstanding career opportunity with a market leader committed to providing a diverse and meaningful range of leisure and culture related activities for the local communities in which we serve.

Glossop Swimming Pool is looking for committed and enthusiastic individuals willing to join a well established team in delivering the ASA’s National Plan for Teaching Swimming. The role will mean working alongside other professionals to teach and assess swimming lessons in accordance with ASA and centre guidelines, following lesson plans created by the ASA.

• Working inside a beautiful Victorian Swimming Pool to teach stages 1 to 7.

• Training opportunities available to allow individuals to develop their skills.

The Person
• Must be a team player willing to listen to the advice of others.
• Must have excellent timekeeping and good interpersonal skills.
• Must be flexible and available to work a mixture of daytime, evening and weekend shifts.
• Must have their ASA level 2 Swimming Teacher equivalent (or higher) and have a knowledge of the National Plan for Teaching Swimming pathway.
• Must be enthusiastic, committed and confident to develop lessons in a small but busy centre.
• Must have good communication skills to motivate and inspire learners, and communicate progress and targets to parents.
• Must have an acceptable level of IT literacy to operate register and assessment systems via a tablet.
