GLL, the UK's largest public leisure provider and charitable social enterprise, is looking for a Watersports Manager with a specialism in sails sports to oversee the daily management and development of the sailing business and programme at the unique inner-city West Reservoir Centre in Stoke Newington, North East London.

West Reservoir is a popular water sports centre in North East London and we're looking for an experienced and passionate Manager to continue the growth of our existing sailing programme whilst developing new products and activities. Based in urban London, you will get to work with a truly diverse customer base including children and adults from a range of backgrounds, abilities and cultures who, in many cases, are being introduced to a new sport. As Manager, you'll ensure sails sports continue to increase in popularity, that pupils develop and that the business remains profitable so that we can reinvest back into the communities we work with. You'll also be a hands-on coach, overseeing health and safety of daily activities as well as monitoring quality and compliance and maintaining the fleet.

It goes without saying that you'll be passionate about all things sailing but to do this role you'll also need to be a qualified RYA Senior Dinghy Instructor and ideally also have experience in power boating and any British Canoeing qualification. You should have significant experience working within a busy water sports environment and a proven track record of delivering a safe, effective and quality coaching programme in a RYA Recognised Training Centre.

In return, we offer a range of benefits that you'd expect from the UK's largest leisure provider:
- Pension schemes
- Ride to work scheme
- Discounted membership at our leisure centres
- The opportunity to join the GLL Society and have a say in how we’re run plus associated social events
- Career pathways
- Ongoing training and development to help you to be the best

If you feel your experience matches this role, apply now.

All pay rates are subject to skills, experience, qualifications and location.

To be shortlisted for the role, internal applicants will need to demonstrate their commitment to GLL by becoming a Society member where eligible.
