An interesting opportunity has arisen for a versatile and flexible person to gain operational and supervisory experience at the Aston University Outdoor Recreation Centre.

Salary: £20,130 to £22,417 per annum (pro-rata) plus generous holiday allowance.

The complex consists of 6 high quality grass pitches, a cricket table, a floodlit synthetic pitch and an extensive changing pavilion with bar and catering facilities.

The post involves a range of operational tasks including day to day preparation of facilities, cleaning and minor maintenance, customer liaison, operation of licensed bars and duty supervisor responsibilities.

The post involves predominantly weekend and evening work and there will be opportunities for additional overtime work to service the business needs of the centre.

Applicants must be willing to undertake regular weekend and evening work and be available for additional work in accordance with the business needs of the service. A good standard of literacy and numeracy is needed and previous experience and knowledge of operating licensed bars together with an appreciation of health and safety issues connected to operating outdoor sports facilities would be a distinct advantage.
