We are looking for an inspirational leader with a passion for leisure and health and wellbeing to join the Management team at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, an iconic aquatic leisure venue in the heart of Sheffield.

The Deputy General Manager is a key role within the venue, responsible for driving the ICAN Company Culture. You will assist the General Manager in driving forward excellence within the facility, helping ensure the venue meets its financial targets and also motivating and supporting all staff to be the very best they can be and to deliver world-class service to all customers and stakeholders.

You will ensure efficient and effective day to day management of the venue and also plan, prepare and help deliver large-scale events and working with key external partners to maximise commercial opportunities.

You will also work with internal and external stakeholders to maximise opportunities for participation and development of health and wellbeing through venue-based activities, clubs and events.

Essential
• Minimum 3 years management experience within Leisure
• Proven leadership ability
• Experience of event management
• Technical and industry knowledge
• Experience of managing a team of staff, including recruitment, performance management, training, and wellbeing
• Pool Plant Operator Qualification
• Excellent communication skills

Desirable
• Degree in Sport/Leisure or equivalent
• Knowledge of management of a multi-use site
• IOSH – Institute of Occupational Safety and Health qualification
• First Aid at Work Qualification
• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification
