Location: Atherstone Leisure Complex

A very exciting new job role has become available within our Leisure and Community Development Division. We are seeking a leisure professional who has excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to deliver high service quality, to lead the team at Atherstone Leisure Complex.

The Leisure Complex is a community facility based in the heart of Atherstone. A flagship site, the Centre has a 25 meter pool and teaching pool, gym, Functional Training Zone, group cycling studio, and a Memorial Hall which hosts classes, activities and events.

As a hands-on Operations Officer overseeing your team of Duty Officers and their staff, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient day-to-day management and operation of all aspects of the Leisure Complex. You will have a good understanding of facility operation, health and safety and financial management, as well as a track record of developing and delivering on plans and achieving targets.

You will require excellent communication skills, be able to work collaboratively with leisure teams and interact effectively at all levels of the organisation. A team player, you will ensure staff are proactive to deliver centre specific and wider corporate objectives. Leading by example you will maintain high standards of service and facility operation at all times.

We are looking for a dynamic individual who is passionate about delivering a high performing customer focused facility and someone who is self-motivated, enthusiastic, proactive and flexible with an interest and experience in the leisure sector.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and, as such, appointment will be conditional upon receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of criminal records via the Disclosure and Barring Service, before the appointment is confirmed. This will include details of cautions, reprimands or final warnings, as well as convictions. An Enhanced Disclosure will be required.
