We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and flexible individual who is passionate about service development, sales and customer retention.

A very exciting new job role has become available within our Leisure and Community Development Division. The post holder will develop and deliver commercial approaches to improve the performance of our health and fitness services, sales performance and membership retention across our leisure facilities.

Based at the Council House, but with a strong and active presence in our leisure facilities, you will take responsibility for developing and implementing the sales strategies, sales journey and campaigns to improve membership levels and financial performance.

The role requires a highly motivated, creative person with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. Working with Centre-based teams you will develop new and enhance existing health and fitness services. Introducing new fitness and technology trends, the post holder will also work with key members of the team to ensure high performing group exercise programmes. The development and delivery of a member retention strategy and improved customer feedback systems are other key areas of responsibility.

The Service, Sales and Retention Officer will require excellent communication skills, be able to pro-actively network and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external partners. A good working knowledge of the leisure industry, the health and fitness and the sales environments would also be an advantage.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and, as such, appointment will be conditional upon receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of criminal records via the Disclosure and Barring Service, before the appointment is confirmed. This will include details of cautions, reprimands or final warnings, as well as convictions. An Enhanced Disclosure will be required.
