Harlow Leisurezone are currently looking for a full-time Leisure Operations Team Leader / Trainee Duty Manager to join the team at this busy sports and leisure centre located in the centre of Harlow.
The successful candidate will ideally be NPLQ qualified and will be responsible for the smooth running and supervision of the Operations Team on a day-to-day basis. The opportunity to train as a cover Duty Manager will be offered to the right candidate.
Main activities of the job include:
• Assisting the Duty Manager to provide a first class service delivery for the building.
• Supervising all Leisure Assistants on shift and monitoring their performance.
• Ensuring all set ups and take downs and completed in accordance with operating procedures and Health and Safety requirements.
• Following the complaints procedure and taking a lead role in complaint handling.
• Taking a lead role in ensuring that all operations jobs are completed throughout the shift to a high standard.
• Being aware of the daily programme of events and liaising with Duty Managers to ensure layouts are completed on time and to health and safety standards.
• Undertaking lifeguard duties as required.
Requirements:
• NPLQ qualified preferred
• First Aid qualification – desirable
• Flexible and available to cover a variety of shifts – early mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Awareness of health & safety requirements
• A good team player, able to lead by example
• Excellent communication skills
• Punctual and reliable
• Willing to train to take on Duty Manager role as required
