A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Wellbeing Manager to join the team at Sequoia, our award winning, luxury spa and deliver an exciting, inspirational , rewarding and professional service to all members and guests whilst driving wellbeing revenue and managing cost control.

The role will take responsibility for the day to day running of our gym, home to the latest hi-tech exercise equipment, as well as overseeing our new services such as Nutrition, Physiotherapy and Remedial Sports Massage which make Sequoia a true holistic Wellness destination.

The Wellbeing Manager will manage our team of Fitness Instructors as well as external practitioners so management experience is essential, in addition to a passion for motivating the team to achieve their personal and combined goals.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Be responsible for the recruitment, induction, training and development of all Wellbeing team members including external practitioners.

Ensure the Wellbeing team maintains the highest standard of guest service for all members and guests by following Sequoia protocols and displaying genuine care and attention to detail..

Implement, monitor and develop the class timetable alongside the studio coordinator. Keep abreast of international fitness trends and best practice ensuring Sequoia’s fitness offering reflects these up-to-date practices.

To help plan and participate in the organisation and delivery of a robust calendar of events including retreats and corporate sessions.

Ensure the implementation of the membership journey actively managing retention levels and the Wellbeing induction process of new members.

Play an active role in creating and implementing new initiatives in wellbeing and fitness and cross selling promotions.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential:
• Minimum fitness qualification – REPs Level 3 Fitness Instructor/Personal Trainer/Yoga Instructor/Nutritionist/Naturopath
• Good customer care skills
• Good verbal communication skills
• Good knowledge of health assessment and programme development
• Good supervisory skills, minimum 2 years’ experience
• Flexibility in working hours

Desirable:
• Educated to degree level in leisure/fitness/sports/recreation management
• First Aid qualification
• Studio teacher qualification(s)
• Yoga Qualification
• Naturopathic qualification
• Nutrition Qualification
• Experience of working in a 5* fitness environment
• Hotel experience
