Colcot Sports Centre

This is an outstanding career opportunity with a not for profit charitable organisation committed to providing a diverse and meaningful range of leisure and culture related activities for the local communities in which we serve.

This key role will report to the Centre Manager and will involve the day-to-day management of the facility, taking full responsibility for its operation. The facility includes a 4 court sports hall, one full size multi purpose ATP, four 5-a-side and two 7-a-side astroturf football pitches.

The post holder will take a lead role in developing and promoting an exciting and innovative leisure programme to increase the usage and profitability of the centre.

The Opportunity
Ownership of a small business and all its facets including operations, health and safety, environmental management, administration, human resources, bookings and events, customer care and financial management.
Business exposure on multiple levels affording an opportunity to learn and progress rapidly with the leisure industry.
The position is aligned with an experienced Leisure Centre Duty Manager / Operations Manager.

The Person
Must be flexible; Colcot Sports Centre operation hours are exclusively after school hours mid week and all day weekends.
Must be self motivated and work well in a lone working environment.
Must be able to demonstrate problem solving attributes
Leisure industry experience is desirable and facility management experience essential.
A recognised Leisure Manager qualification or equivalent is essential.
The successful post holder will need to attain qualifications in First Aid at Work (or NPLQ).
A DBS is required for this post.
