As a Spa Director you will be responsible for:
  • Effectively managing all areas of the Spa, including its programs, services, facilities, and staff.
  • Controlling and analyzing the financial position of the Spa.
  • Supervising the Associate Spa Director and directly or indirectly supervising the management of all Spa departments including: Massage and Body Treatments, Fitness and Movement, Skincare and Salon, Outdoor and Racquet Sports, Spa Desk and Locker Rooms, Metaphysical, Healthy Feet and Golf.
  • Leading the creation and management of the revenue, payroll and expense budgets for the Spa Departments.
  • Inspiring and participating in the creation of new spa and sports services, ensuring that Canyon Ranch maintains and extends its industry-leading position.
  • Exemplifying superior guest services and instilling that orientation among staff.
  • Inspiring, mentoring and developing staff members, and promoting an atmosphere that supports the Canyon Ranch mission.
  • Overseeing management development and training programs for staff.
  • Working with Spa department heads to develop and implement service training techniques and procedures.
  • With the support of the Associate Spa Director, ensuring that all Spa facilities and equipment are maintained according to Canyon Ranch standards.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree or two-year equivalent specialized training or experience required.
  • Significant specialised experience (6-10 years’ experience in same or related field).
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Excellent organisational and management skills.
