Location: Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, Sheffield

Hours: 37 hours per week

We are looking for a capable and committed Manager with proven leadership ability and a drive for excellence to join the Management team at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, an iconic aquatic leisure venue in the heart of Sheffield.

As Assistant Operations and Events Manager you will be responsible for managing the performance of the Duty Management team to ensure successful delivery of operational and event objectives.

You will assist the Deputy General Manager in driving forward excellence within the facility, through an effectively managed events and community programme to ensure the venue meets its financial targets and operational and strategic objectives.

Essential
- Management experience working in aquatic, leisure or events industry
- Proven leadership ability
- Track record of delivering excellent customer service
- Experience of organising and prioritising a demanding workload to tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
- Technical and industry knowledge
- Knowledge of health and safety guidelines required for venue operation
- IT skills in Excel and Word.
- “Can do” Attitude.
- Thorough and meticulous when operating a venue, delivering events, and during emergency situations
- Ability to work flexibly as required

Desirable
- Degree or equivalent level education
- Knowledge of the management of a multi-use site
- Knowledge/Experience of working directly with safeguarding
- Pool Plant Operators Qualification
- IOSH – Institute of Occupational Safety and Health qualification
- Knowledge of Gladstone computer system
