We are looking for an Aquatics Development Manager to join our busy and exciting Aquatics team. If you are someone who has a real passion for everything aquatics, significant experience of working in the leisure industry and are ready for your next challenge - we want to hear from you.

Teaching over 50,000 babies and toddlers per week across the UK, Ireland, Canada, Netherlands, New Zealand and China, Water Babies is the largest pre-school swimming company in the world. Our aquatics programme is the core of what we do, and ensuring that this is of the highest quality is paramount.

The Aquatics Development Manager’s responsibilities will include:

• Improving communications between Head Office and the Aquatics workforce

• Supporting the Director of Aquatics to ensure that the Water Babies core programme remains fresh and relevant

• Supporting the Director of Aquatics to develop the extended Water Babies programme.

• Recruiting and training a team of Aquatics Champions.

• Development and implementation of the aquatics quality & compliance programme across the Water Babies network.

• Training as a Water Babies Teacher, Assessor and Senior Tutor.

• Developing and implementing the Water Babies Teacher Accreditation Programme.

• Working with the Aquatics Team to develop and deliver the annual Teacher Conference.

The role will require you to work closely with our UK and international franchisees and Head Office team, therefore exceptional communication, organisation, and planning skills will be key to the success of this post. The Aquatics Development Manager post will be full time and permanent and we will reward you with a competitive salary and company benefits package.


• Swim England Teacher qualified with 3+ years’ experience

Experience / Attributes

• A real passion and enthusiasm for Water Babies and swimming in general

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the leisure industry

• Experience of managing complex projects from start to finish

• A passion for innovation and high standards

• Work in an accurate, organised and structured way that others can follow

• Ability to work effectively either as part of a team or individually

• Strong communication skills
