95th Anniversary of the Battle of Loos
The Living History group Gordon Highlanders 1914-1918 will be facilitating a weekend of events from 25th - 26th September at The Gordon Highlanders Museum in Aberdeen to commemorate the 95th anniversary of the Battle of Loos.
Gordon Highlanders 1914-1918 will provide a short lecture on the Battle of Loos, as well as demonstrating life at a training camp at home and behind the lines in France in September 1915.
There will also be continuous "Show and Tell" throughout the day. Learn about the uniform, equipment and weapons of The Gordon Highlanders in 1915, as well as physical training, bayonet fighting and gas.
The event will be held over two days and involves Living History Displays and drop in sessions.
On Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th September, living history displays will take place at 11am, 1pm & 3pm. At 2pm on Saturday 25th there will also be a lecture on the Battle of Loos by Dave Clarke. Please book in advance by contacting The Gordon Highlanders Museum on 01224 311200.
