Absolute Leisure businesses up for sale
Bars, restaurants and clubs formerly owned by Newcastle-upon-Tyne-based operator Absolute Leisure have been put up for sale after the firm was placed in administration.
Property agents Christie + Co are managing the sales of six of the companies nine businesses on behalf of administrator Begbies Traynor. The portfolio includes the 2,475sq ft Lounge pub and nightclub and the 4,300sq ft 260-cover Cocomo's Restaurant both in Newcastle's city centre. Other businesses include: the New Angel Hotel in Whitby, which features a bar, restaurant and nightclub; the Tuxedo Princess - a nightclub on a boat; and two Purple Door-branded bars in Kingston upon Hull and Doncaster.
Absolute Leisure was placed in administration earlier this month having suffered as a result of the current economic climate hitting the leisure market.
