BBC and Arts Council of Wales announce partnership
The Arts Council of Wales and BBC Cymru Wales have announced they are joining forces to grow digital and craft skills across the creative sector.
Already the two largest investors in publicly funded creativity in Wales, the organisations will now have a more defined relationship under the Public Value Partnership.
It will aim to create closer cooperation between the BBC and the Arts Council and encourage the commissioning of new works.
Arts Council chief executive Nick Capaldi said: "It's about pooling our expertise to ensure that the best of the nation's arts are seen and enjoyed. But it's also about investing in the creative potential of our leading artists, ensuring that they have the skills and expertise to thrive in the modern digital age."
The organisations already jointly fund the BBC National Orchestra of Wales.
