The winners of the Coach of the Year awards have been announced.
Top spot in the performance category went to England rugby union team head coach, Clive Woodward, who was singled out by Sport England chief executive, Roger Draper: "His calculative planning and sheer commitment has helped England reach number one in the world.”
Woodward joins three other winners; Christine Heppell from Durham – the female community coach award for her outstanding work in tennis; male community coach Alan Roberts – for coaching judo; and Jon Amos who won the disabled performers’ coach award for his work in powerlifting.
