Colour in Cardiff with launch of 'turquoise'
A new 'food-bar' concept has added a splash of colour to Cardiff's Mermaid Quay development. The turquoise brand is offering fresh and wholesome food for people on the move and has been launched by local-born entrepreneur James Spice. After living in London, Spice saw that the lack of choice outside of the capital was notable: In London you are spoilt for choice when it comes to food bar concepts. There is a real shortage of good quality, healthy 'pick up and pay' food available to the community in Cardiff - turquoise has been created to fill that gap. Serving fresh soups, breads, fish and pastries, turquoise has already proved such a success since its launch that Spice has been approached to expand to a chain: Ironically I have received a lot of interest from London about setting up venues there, he said.
