Dermalogica has developed new teen skincare to prevent and treat the symptoms of mild to moderate acne.

The Clear Start range products are sold individually as well as in a kit, and will be available from October 2013.

Acne is broadly defined as one or more recurring acneic skin blemishes per month. Clear Start replaces Dermalogica’s previous product line in the teen category, Clean Start.

The new acne line has been developed to address breakouts with reformulations of existing products and two new products; Breakout Clearing Masque and Breakout Clearing Daytime Treatment.

Breakout Clearing Daytime Treatment is a daily, lightweight moisturiser and spot-treatment to break up bacteria and clear persistent congestion and stubborn breakouts. Its active ingredients include colloidal silver and niacinamide; and its five botanicals include rosemary, sunflower and cucumber extract.

The Breakout Clearing Cooling Masque has a cooling sensation to refresh and soothe irritation and clears skin. Its active ingredient is salicylic acid and it also contains plant and fruit extracts including licorice extract to tone down redness.
