ECB announces NatWest sponsorship boost
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced that NatWest has extended its sponsorship activities with English cricket.
NatWest will become the title sponsor of the new limited overs domestic competition, which will be known as NatWest Pro40.
In addition, NatWest is to continue existing sponsorship deals for the next four years, and will remain the major sponsor of all international limited overs matches –including Twenty20 – in men’s and women’s cricket.
ECB chief executive, David Collier said: “NatWest has been a major supporter of cricket in England and Wales for more than 25 years and are continuing to be a major driving force behing every aspect of the game.”
Commerical director John Perera told Sports Management: "This is a sizable investment in cricket, representing more than £10m over the next four years.
"We are introducing a new structure for limited overs internationals, so that each touring side will play five matches, plus Twenty20 fixtures
"However, the investment from NatWest will also benefit our grassroots schemes, including NatWest CricketForce and the OSCAs – the ECB's award for volunteers."
