Emirates Stadium ticket prices will ensure huge income stream
Arsenal's new stadium will generate more income than any other venue in world club football, managing director Keith Edelman has claimed.
The 60,000-capacity Emirates Stadium, due to open in time for the 2006/7 season, will have more premium tickets and offer more corporate hospitality than any other ground in the Premier League, and could bring in as much as £70m in match day revenue.
Arsenal's top priced season tickets will be £4,750 a season (compared with £2,500 for Chelsea's most expensive offering) but must be purchased on a four-year contract.
Although the capacity of the Emirates Stadium will be less than other venues, including Manchester Utd's Old Trafford ground, Edelman is convinced that the stadium will sell out every game and that the high rate per seat will ensure the club is substantially better off from the 2006/7 season.
