Fit4less joins forces with Hertfordshire college
Fit4less, the low-cost gym concept created by the énergie Group, has launched its first UK commercial venture in conjunction with North Hertfordshire College.
College students currently studying health and fitness courses are to have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, following the opening of Fit4less by énergie in Stevenage.
Once students have qualified from their courses, they will be able to use the facilities to start their own personal training; sports therapy; sports massage; or beauty treatment businesses.
An official opening for the club - unveiled last month as the 16th in the Fit4less portfolio - will be held on 31 January. It is part of the brand's bid to open 45 sites by the end of 2012.
The Stevenage facility is fitted with Precor equipment and offers a cardio theatre and a free weights area. Personal training and fitness classes are also available at an extra cost.
Public monthly memberships cost £14.99 (12-month contract) or £19.99 on a rolling basis. Staff and students at the college benefit from a £10.99 monthly cost on a 12-month deal.
Fit4less Stevenage general manager James Luscombe said: "The commercial venture has presented us with a fantastic opportunity to link with the local community.
"In addition, we're giving customers state of the art equipment and facilities for a fraction of the traditional cost of going to a gym."
