Football Fever five-a-side concept launched
Phil Burks and Nick Vetch, the co-founders of the Big Yellow self-storage group, Jonathan First, the former commercial director of Esporta, and Sky Sports presenter Richard Keys have teamed up to launch Football Fever – a five-a-side football centre concept.
Each centre, initially based in the south of England, will have at least 11 tennis court-sized pitches and a clubhouse with dedicated parking on a 2.5 acre site.
The consortium has already raised £25m funding to facilitate the development of an initial 10 centres.
First, chief executive of Football Fever, said: “The key to the execution of this business is locating the right real estate and we are delighted to have the support and expertise of property veterans Phil and Nick in that regard.
“Thereafter, football is at the heart of the business and Richard will provide unparalleled insight.”
Vetch and Burks have reportedly located 55 possible locations in the London area. Details: www.footballfever.net
