Forest of Marston Vale to launch tourism website
The Forest of Marston Vale is to launch a new online resource for people looking for recreational opportunities in Bedfordshire to the tourism industry next week.
Let’s Go will contain detailed information on a range of the county’s walking, cycling and riding routes as well as nature reserves, country parks and picnic sites. It will also link to Bedfordshire County Council’s tourism website enabling users to find out about local attractions, parks, hotels, restaurants and B&Bs.
“This launch gives tourism and leisure providers the chance to find out at first hand what Let’s Go is all about and how easy it is to use,” said Guy Lambourne, community liaison officer for the Forest of Marston Vale. “They can discover the wealth of comprehensive information it provides and consider how it can help better serve their own communities and customers.”
All the routes listed on the site include a full access report detailing path surfaces, slopes, steps, seats, stiles and gates as well as location, length, history and nature.
The website was funded by Bedfordshire Rural Transport Wider Welcome Programme in association with the Countryside Agency and Bedfordshire County Council and will be launched to the public in the spring of 2005. Details: www.letsgo.org.uk
