Since opening its doors in November last year, GRAVITY Jersey in St. Helier has been doing things differently. Owner, manager and trainer Simon Stratford's vision of providing an inclusive studio solution for all round fitness has found a niche in the local market. The studio consists of six Total Gym Power Towers, the top of the range machine in Total Gym's commercial line.

'We are finding that even those people that don’t traditionally enjoy exercise are enjoying GRAVITY, and they are seeing results,' says Stratford. 'The versatility of the kit means we can offer a range of training on the same machines.’

Small group training on the Total Gym equipment offers extensive courses in cardio, resistance, strength and Pilates, while the new Quick Start Weight Loss programme offers a month of GRAVITY training, weekly health assessments and nutritional advice for £195. Personal training clients can bring their friends along to turn the session into small group training - decreasing cost per person while increasing revenue for the studio.

The only studio of its kind in the Channel Islands, GRAVITY Jersey is proving popular with a wide cross section of the Jersey community. The adaptability of the Total Gym equipment has seen fitness professionals training next to senior citizens - performing the same movements in the same class at the optimum resistance for their individual fitness level. The local tennis and rugby teams also enjoy group sessions at the studio.
