Haigh Hall Golf Complex scores Charter Mark
Haigh Hall Golf Complex in Wigan has been awarded the prestigious Charter Mark, the government's national standard for customer service excellence, at its first attempt.
The complex boasts a championship standard 18-hole gold course, an additional 9-hole course and a Himalayan putting green. Its golf academy attracts hundreds of players a year and has introduced more than 2,500 children to the game through its Haigh Tigers scheme.
Executive director of Wigan Leisure and Culture Trust, which operates the facility, Stuart Murray, said: “The beauty of Haigh is not only its surroundings but that we provide golfing opportunities to a wide range of people.
“We support young players and amateurs who are just starting out, but we also have our well established regular customers who can enjoy a course that is now playing really well following the completion of its redevelopment.
“I’m sure our visitors already appreciate the excellent service from our staff. It’s great that now we have official recognition of their dedication, hard work and skill in providing the best welcome to our golfers.” Details: www.wlct.org/haighgolf
