Holiday Inn to open at Disneyland Paris
Bass Hotels and Resorts' Holiday Inn brand is to be the first international hotel chain to build a new property at DisneyLand Paris. The 400-bed hotel will have a swimming pool, fitness centre, restaurant and will be accessed via shuttle bus connecting the hotel to both the Disneyland Paris resort and the new Walt Disney Studios, due to open in spring 2002. Chair of Euro Disney SCA, Jay Rasulo, welcomes Bass' input in the development of the resort: 'With the strength of the Holiday Inn brand, a wonderful setting for a new hotel and the opening of Walt Disney Studios, we have all the elements for a great success.' Bass' managing director for Europe, Middle East and Africa, David Bland, says the hotel, due to open in spring 2003, will be Holiday Inn's flagship site and part of a plan to double the region's portfolio in the next five years.
