Introducing Mahana, Yon-Ka’s new Polynesian-inspired healing treatment for the festive season
A year and a half after the pandemic began, the time has come to reinvent our way of life and release ourselves from the tensions of isolation.
To relax, escape and boost energy, Yon-Ka has developed the Mahana treatment – a hydrating and comforting facial with a star massage that’s energetic, aromatic and relaxing, inspired by the Polynesian Taurumi ritual.
Taurumi, which means tau (to put down) and rumi (to knead), is both a therapeutic and spiritual practice of Polynesian culture with a holistic dimension.
Taurumi connects the body, mind, heart and soul through touch, enabling each spa guest to open up to the world.
A balance of subtle wellness and skincare expertise
In 60 minutes, Mahana takes guests on a journey through a facial and a massage that provides in-depth hydration and illuminates the complexion while relieving tension, discomfort and fatigue through massaging the scalp, hands and feet.
The 30-minute massage takes care of the body as a whole, with specific techniques such as smoothing movements, stretching and rocking to deeply relax musculotendinous areas.
Caroline Martinez, Yon-Ka education director, says the treatment is “ideal for chasing away stress and bringing back radiance. Mahana is an unforgettable experience, a beautiful escape for the holidays and a perfect gift for men and women of all ages.”
Mahana, which translated from Tahitian means sun, showcases Yon-Ka's Polynesian-inspired Relax range of products featuring delicate aromas of tiaré flower and jasmine.
Complementing the festive season offeringAlongside this, Yon-Ka has designed a 2021 gifting collection – including the brand’s best-selling products for Hydration, Anti-Aging and Perfection – packaged within a chic, recyclable, natural cotton and linen pouch.
