Delegates who were supposed to be attending the annual Active-net event this week – but instead find themselves in a lockdown – are being offered a lift-me-up in the form of free pizza.

All those registered for Active-net 2020 – which was scheduled to take place from 25 to 26 March, but has been postponed to July, due to the Coronavirus outbreak – will qualify for the offer.

The pizzas will be made available through One Planet Pizza – a vegan food production company set up by Leisure-net founder and co-owner Mike Hill.

"We know a lot of you will be working from home at the moment, and may need cheering up a bit," Active-net said in a social media post.

"So we'd like to offer you a special gift by way of saying thank you for bearing with us at these challenging times, and keeping you stocked up at home foodwise for those long days to come!

"Some of you may be aware that Leisure-net’s founder and co-director, also helped set up and runs the UK’s leading frozen plant-based pizza company – One Planet Pizza (OPP).

"OPP has just launched the world’s first frozen personalised pizza service and we would like to offer all active-net delegates a complimentary four-pack of the world’s healthiest and most planet-friendly pizza! (Mike's own words…) delivered directly to your home, oven (or freezer) ready!"

Hill first became vegan when he was 18 years old and set up his first vegetarian business when he was 21. In addition to his stake in One Planet Pizza, he's also part-owner of a successful veggie/vegan restaurant – as well as running Leisure-net.

Registered delegates can claim their pizzas via the One Planet Pizza website .

To take advantage of the offer, delegates need to use the code “activenet4” at the checkout.

The coupon can only be used for one purchase of a four-pack by a registered active-net delegate.

The name of the registered active-net delegate needs to be entered when confirming the order for the coupon to be valid.

Active-net is also organising a web-based event today (25 March), in place of the physical event. Activenet Online has been designed as a platform for health and leisure operators to get some insights about what suppliers can do for them during the pandemic.

Those wanting to take part are asked to follow #activenetonline and check out Leisure-net Solutions' social media accounts throughout the day:
