Life Fitness launches 'Calorie Crunch'
Life Fitness has launched a 'Calorie Crunch' gym challenge in a bid to increase member retention levels.
Running throughout September and October, the challenge is intended as a focus for training, regardless of whether the participant is new to exercise or uses the gym on a regular basis. Instructors agree a calorie target specific to each individual over a four-week period. Participants are entered into the draw for £1,000 prize.
Chris O'Conor, marketing director of Life Fitness, said: 'The idea behind this promotion is to make it inclusive and promote participation by exercisers of all fitness levels. It's fun, it's easy because all the machines have the software to monitor calorie expenditure, and it encourages members to increase the frequency of their visits to the gym.'
