Nottingham Trent University accredited by ILAM
Nottingham Trent University’s BSc (Hons) sports science and management degree has become the first undergraduate programme in the UK to be accredited by the Institute of Leisure and Amenity Management (ILAM) at Advanced Diploma level.
This accreditation means that graduates are now able to claim exemptions from ILAM when choosing to take their diploma or advanced diploma courses in the future.
The degree combines elements of management and leadership with real-life experience in a variety of sport and leisure organisations.
Students produce assignments based on briefs set by industry professionals and benefit from visits to organisations and talks from leading managers and consultants.
Senior lecturer Chris Parker said: “It’s great to receive recognition and status from such an influential body as ILAM. We have worked hard to ensure that our students have many opportunities to put management theory into practice in the real world.” Details: +44 (0)115 848 2650 or www.ntu.ac.uk
