Novotel rolls out TV Dining
Novotel is rolling out its TV Dining service, following its successful launch at Novotel Sheffield in February 2006.
The facility – aimed at lone business and leisure travelers – allows guests to watch a personal TV screen using headphones while dining alone in the hotel’s Elements restaurant or lobby.
All UK-based Novotels will feature the service by the end of the year, with European Novotels to follow suit.
Roger Smith, director of marketing and distribution, Accor Hotels UK, said: “We know that guests travelling alone frequently avoid restaurants because they stand out from other diners. With TV Dining, they have an experience that’s designed for them with in-built entertainment that doesn’t intrude on other guests. We’re very pleased with the feedback, which has been very positive.”
