Paramount and Central Sports devise training programmes
Paramount Hotels and Central Sports Management and Training have announced that the joint training programme for their health and fitness employees is proving to be a success.
Bodysense – the health and fitness brand for Paramount Hotels – recently launched the training course, which was designed by Paula Colman of Central Sports.
The pathway programme trains employees to become fully qualified personal trainers, leisure club managers or sales specialists.
It is interlinked with the government’s Skills for Life initiative, which assesses the basic literacy and numeracy skills of all Bodysense employees.
All qualifications adhere to national standards and are delivered via industry award courses such as the YMCA Gym Instructors Certificate and ISRM Supervisory Management Certificate.
Around 60 employees are currently attending a specific programme. Ten employees have already completed a programme, with five moving on to more advanced training.
