Plans resubmitted for GBP1.3m sports club development in Lostock , Bolton
Developers have resubmitted plans for a £1.3m relocation of Lostock Sports Club in Bolton, Greater Manchester, after the initial time frame for planning permission expired.
The proposed development has seen bowling facilities, which were initially approved, removed from the plans while two rugby pitches, a cricket pitch, a clubhouse, car park and large equipment storage container are included.
The developer, Persimmon has bought an additional strip of land to accommodate the needs of the club.
If planning permission is given, work will start immediately on site clearance and land drainage.
The rugby pitches and the clubhouse would be completed by August 2014 with the cricket field ready by 2015.
The application was initially given the go-ahead in 2007 to make way for 301 homes but work has not yet started and an application has also been submitted to build 92 apartments and 79 homes on the same site.
