Polar has announced the launch of Polar Unite, its new fitness watch.
The watch features personalised workouts, wellbeing guidance, connected GPS functionality and a toolbox of features and insights designed to make it simple for users to get moving.
A daily training guide that delivers on-demand workouts is one of the product's key features. FitSpark takes into consideration the user's sleep, recovery, fitness level and training history, in order to recommend tailored workouts each day. It also provides animated instructions with guidance on strength, cardio and supportive training, while timers, instructions and vibrations guide the user through the workout.
The watch also provides real-time training stats, and after the workout offers insights into time spent in each heart rate zone, how many calories were burned and how much strain the training session put on the user's cardiovascular system.
Insight into sleep and recovery is included, showing how well the user slept and how well their autonomic nervous system recovered from the previous day's exertions.
The battery offers up to four days in watch mode with continuous heart rate tracking and up to 50 hours in training mode with connected GPS.
“Polar is dedicated to making fitness make sense. There are plenty of fitness wearables on the market, but typically you’re forced to choose between practicality, price and performance,” says Justin Chacona, chief marketing officer at Polar Global.
“With Polar Unite we really focused on these three core challenges and the result is a truly stunning product, that’s packed with all the essential fitness tools and technology you need to get moving but at a reasonable price.”
Polar Unite is available at www.polar.com/unite for £134.50 in black, white, pink, and blue, with size small and M/L wristbands included in each package. Extra wristbands are also available.
