Prezzo to return to private ownership?

Prezzo, the Italian restaurant chain, has confirmed that several of its board members have made a preliminary approach for the company.
Prezzo announced that an independent committee had been formed for the purposes of considering any offer, but said “there can be no guarantee that this approach will lead to an offer being made”.
The company, which is currently listed on the London Stock Exchange, recently saw its sales increase 27 per cent to £70.1m and pre-tax profit jump 25 per cent to £13.6m.
