The Greenwich Leisure-operated Rainbow Leisure Centre in Epsom, Surrey, has been shortlisted for one of the Fitness Industry Association’s (FIA) FLAME awards.

The awards were created to recognise excellence within the health and fitness industry and the winners will be announced at a gala dinner on 27 September as part of Leisure Industry Week at Birmingham NEC on 26-28 September.

Catherine Pont, Rainbow Leisure Centre manager said: "We are delighted that our efforts and those of our team members have been recognised by a FLAME nomination.

"The FLAME awards recognise excellence and best practice within the entire health and fitness industry, so to be told that we are now one of the top three leisure centres in the UK is simply fantastic.

"Up until now the focus of the judging has been on how the club runs operationally and how it is managed. The next stage is all about what our visitors think about the centre. Our fate is in their hands."
