Rezidor continues expansion of Regent brand
Rezidor SAS Hospitality is set to open a further nine Regent hotel properties by 2007, more than doubling the size of the brand’s estate.
Rezidor currently operates seven Regent hotels throughout the world, with the latest, the former Four Seasons Hotel in Berlin, having been rebranded and operated as a Regent property since September this year.
Over the next three years, hotels will be opened in Shanghai, Ningbo and Beijing in China; Boston, Miami and Winter Park in Colorado in the US; plus Budapest and Kuwait.
Rezidor aims to operate 30 Regent properties worldwide by 2010.
The Regent Berlin, situated in the Gendarmenmarkt features 204 rooms including 42 suites, meeting and banqueting facilities and a fitness and wellness centre. The rebranding represents a £1.6m (€2.3m, US$3m) investment by Rezidor. Details: www.rezidorsas.com
